Accessibility Statement for Armstrong Tree Service

Armstrong Tree Service wants every homeowner and cabin owner around Lake Tahoe to be able to learn about our tree care services and reach our team, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.

Our Commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium for making websites usable by people with disabilities. That includes people who are blind or have low vision, people who are deaf or hard of hearing, people with limited mobility who navigate by keyboard or voice, and people with cognitive or learning differences.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort for us rather than a one-time project. As we add new photos, services and service area pages, we review them with the same goals in mind.

How We Work Toward It

  • Every page uses a clear heading structure, so screen reader users can move through the content by section.
  • Menus, buttons, links and form fields can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and each shows a visible focus outline.
  • Text and buttons are designed for readable color contrast against their backgrounds.
  • Photos that carry meaning have text descriptions, and purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Pages reflow to fit phone screens and remain usable when text is enlarged.
  • Animations respect the reduced motion setting on your device.
  • Our phone number is a tap-to-call link on every page, and form fields have labels and clear error messages.

Content From Other Providers

Some parts of the website come from outside services that we do not control directly:

  • Free estimate requests go through the scheduling portal our office uses to book jobs.
  • Service area maps are drawn from OpenStreetMap map tiles.
  • Customer reviews are shown from our Google Business Profile.
  • The careers application uses a spam check from Cloudflare.

We choose providers that publish their own accessibility commitments, but we cannot guarantee every part of their tools. If one of them gets in your way, contact us and we will help you directly.

Known Limitations

The interactive service area maps are visual. Every town shown on a map is also listed in text beside it, with a link to its page, so the same information is available without the map.

Feedback and Assistance

If you have trouble using any part of the website, or you would like information in a different format, please let us know. Tell us the page you were on and what got in the way, and we will work to fix it and get you what you need in the meantime.

You can always call us to request a free estimate, ask about our services, or schedule work without using the website at all.
